Jennifer and Pryderi

There’s a few places I always love going back to, and Guardswell Farm is definitely one of them. A beautiful venue set in the heart of the Perthshire countryside, it was the perfect setting for Jen & Deri’s fabulous black tie wedding in September. A super stylish day with the most amazing outfits, gorgeous styling and blooms by Feather Grass Florals, and of course a wonderful bunch of folk to top it off! J & D brought so much fun and energy to their celebrations that you couldn’t help but get caught up in the magic of it all, it really was the best day.

Lisa and Edward

Lisa & Edward had a wonderful early autumn wedding surrounded by all their lovely family and friends at the always amazing Cambo Estate. These two had planned their whole day to perfection, and it was so special seeing them enjoying every moment with the biggest smiles. I’ve been lucky enough to shoot a few wedding with Flowers Vermilion, and the beautiful florals and hanging installations were spectacular as ever. Can’t wait to be back at Cambo for more wedding celebrations this year, it’s always such a treat shooting there.

Rebecca and Andy

It was so lovely being back at the wonderful Ballintaggart Farm (one of my all time favourtie venues!) for Rebecca and Andy’s wedding celebrations. In amongst all the wild weather there were so many magical moments, and it was an absolute joy seeing these two tie the knot surrounded by all their nearest and dearest. Big shout out to the amazing Verbena Flowers for all the fabulous blooms, the flower cloud over the dining table was particularly spectacular!

Prudence and Luke

It’s been a wee while since I’ve shared anything on my blog, but what better way to mark my return than Prudence & Luke’s magical wedding at the spectacular Ardverikie House in the Scottish Highlands. The day was full of wonderful moments and oodles of charm and character. From the morning dip in the loch, right through to Luke taking the stage to serenade Prudence at the end of the night, it had it all! I must give a shout out to all the amazing suppliers who made the day even more incredible, you’re all superstars.

Sophie and James

There’s not really much I can say about Sophie & James’ wedding other than it was bloody incredible! It was so lovely being back home in North Yorkshire and my first time shooting at Crayke Manor certainly didn’t disappoint, I really couldn’t have wished for a magical spot. The celebrations were filled with character and charm, with Sophie & James’ attention to detail and amazing eye for style evident in every aspect of the day. I especially loved the beautifully handmade paper flowers created by Sophie’s lovely mum, which were the perfect addition to the wonderful tablescapes in the barn. I could honestly go on and on about how brilliant this day was, but I think I’ll let the photos do the talking this time!

You can also see Sophie & James’ fabulous day, and hear all about how they pulled it all together on the amazing Love My Dress blog, as well as a lovely feature on the Loeffler Randall journal too.

Big shout out to all the super talented suppliers, it was such a treat to work with so many amazing people.

Chloe and Laurens

I was back at one of my all time favourite spots, the Cow Shed in Crail for Chloe & Laurens’ amazing wedding celebrations, and what a day it was!

I’ve loved all the wonderful first looks I’ve shot down at the harbour in Crail, and this one was just as special. Chloe walked down arm in arm with her Mum, and was presented with her gorgeous bouquet by Laurens (a really lovely Dutch tradition which I’d not come across before). After a wander round the harbour for a few photos we headed back up the road for a wonderful, intimate ceremony in the new Roundal at the Cow Shed, a beautiful space which was looking super cosy with the fire lit in the background. A fabulous afternoon of music (provided by the incredible Rusty’s Travelling Piano Bar), food and drinks ensued, with the day topped off with the some top notch speeches and a Pulp Fiction inspired first dance. All in all a magical day with a cracking bunch of folk!

Emily and Doug

Emily & Doug’s fabulous wedding day in the heart of Edinburgh was an absolute joy from beginning to end. After the most wonderful ceremony atop Calton Hill overlooking the city, it was time for music, drinks and some pretty epic group photos in the glorious summer sunshine. We then made our way to one of my all time favourite Edinburgh spots - Timberyard to carry on the celebrations. A cracking set of speeches in the courtyard was followed by an amazing five course dinner, with every course looking like a work of art. The day was finished off with a wander round the magical Grassmarket for some photos, then back to Timberyard to dance the night away! This really was the most wonderful day, and being there to capture Emily & Doug having the best time with their lovely family and friends was so special.

Annie and Tom

I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to blog Annie & Tom’s incredible Glencoe elopement! With the ever changing rules around weddings Annie & Tom decided to adjust their plans and elope in the Scottish Highlands, and I for one am so happy they did! It’s not often you get a glorious sunny day in the middle of March in Scotland, so I was feeling a wee bit smug on my drive up to Glencoe! After a lovely relaxed morning getting ready followed by a wonderful first look overlooking Cuil Bay, we headed over to Glencoe Lochan - a magical spot in amongst the mountains and pine trees which Annie & Tom had chosen for their ceremony. It’s always such a treat working with Claire The Humanist as I know she’ll pull an amazing ceremony out the bag, and needless to say this was no exception. It was so lovely to hear a wee bit more about Annie & Tom from where they first met to where they are now, and Claire told their story perfectly. After the ceremony we enjoyed a piece of delicious homemade wedding cake and a glass of bubbly, and it was then off to explore Glencoe and take in all the breath taking scenery, which isn’t in short supply believe me! We then made our way back to Cuil Bay where we treated to a spectacular sunset. The perfect end to the most wonderful day.

I must give a couple of shout outs, firstly to Barbara from Wild Flower Workshop for her green fingered wizardry, secondly to Annie & Tom’s gorgeous wee dog Cracker for being ridiculously adorable, and last but by no means least, Annie’s mum, who not only made their delicious wedding cake, but also Annie’s stunning dress!

Melloney and Jeremy

Melloney & Jeremy’s amazing micro wedding in the heart of the Perthshire countryside had everything I love about weddings all rolled into one. Wonderful locations, incredible details (especially the gorgeous blooms by the super talented Studio Seapink), and above all, a lovely bunch of folk. After a magical hand-fasting ceremony on the banks of a misty Loch Tay we headed over to the magnificent Taymouth Castle for photos and Cornish pasties (a great choice of wedding day snack I’m sure you’ll all agree!). It was then onto the lovely wee church of St Columba’s in Dunkeld for a wonderful, intimate wedding ceremony. The day was topped off with a reception at my all time favourite spot - Ballintaggart Farm, where we managed to catch the last of the light for some magical photos before everyone tucked into what I’m sure was a delicious feast of culinary delights! A HUGE thank you to Melloney & Jeremy for inviting me along to be a part of their fabulous celebrations, I had the best day!

Megan and Josh

I honestly cannot sing Megan & Josh’s praises highly enough! Having had to adapt their wedding plans not once but three times, including a last minute change of day to avoid the torrential rain, they pulled off the most incredible day surrounded by their nearest and dearest in the spectacular setting of Braemar in the Cairngorms. After a wonderful first look in the morning we headed off to the hills above the River Dee to soak up the amazing views and autumn sunshine, before heading back for the most magical ceremony under a canopy of pine trees. The day was topped off with a piper led stroll into town followed by a fabulous reception at the equally fabulous Fife Arms. In a time when all our lives are filled with such uncertainty, with big wedding plans postponed or cancelled, it’s so wonderful to see folk like Megan & Josh thinking outside the box to have a wedding day like no other!

Victoria and Sweyn

Victoria & Sweyn’s amazing day at the fabulous Cow Shed in Crail had everything I love about weddings all rolled into one! After a lovely morning getting ready and supping super strong G&T’s (not me obviously!), I headed down to the gorgeous wee harbour in Crail to capture Victoria & Sweyn’s “first look”. Witnessing the moment they saw each other in their incredible outfits was so special, and the perfect start to the most magical of days. A wonderful, laughter filled ceremony, set against a backdrop of amazing floral creations by Wild Flower Workshop was followed by an epic feast and some hilarious speeches! The day was topped off in true Scottish style with a rabble rousing ceilidh, and a rather unusual Orcadian tradition know as the “Orcadian Cog”. This is basically a big wooden bowl full to the brim with hot booze, which is passed round from guest to guest. What could possibly go wrong…?!

It was such a treat to work with so many awesome suppliers on this wedding. If you’re on the look out for some super talented wedding creatives for your big day, you won’t go far wrong with this lovely lot!

Sarah Jane and James

I knew from the moment these two got in touch about their wedding that it was going to be amazing, and boy oh boy, was it amazing! Working closely with some of Scotland’s finest wedding suppliers, Sarah Jane & James created a wee bit of magic on the Ayrshire coast, which was a total dream to photograph. From the truly stunning floral arrangements and bouquets by my all time favourite florist - Myrtle & Bracken to the gorgeous bespoke Flossy & Dossy dress, that Sarah Jane looked incredible in, the day was oozing with style and personality. After a wonderful ceremony in the camellia house in the grounds of Culzean Castle, we explored the walled gardens and took stroll on the beach before heading back up to Sarah Jane’s family home to carry on the celebrations. The day was topped off with a rabble rousing performance from their pals band, who’d reformed for one night only, and played an epic set of stone cold classics!

Big shout out to Gillian from Pin Up Hair Glasgow, Doug from Northern Aye Photography, who did a cracking job second shooting for me, and also Cue the Mustard (Videography) - you were all a total dream to work with!

Tegan and Conrad

My oh my, what a fabulous day this was! Tegan & Conrad travelled all the way from Canberra in Australia to tie the knot in the beautiful Perthshire countryside, and they couldn’t have picked a more magical place than Ballintaggrt Farm. Surrounded by rolling hills and stunning scenery Ballintaggart is a wee slice of Scottish paradise, and the perfect spot for a romantic elopement!

A lovely leisurely morning spent getting ready, along with a couple of glasses of bubbly and some delicious nibbles, was followed by a wonderful, intimate ceremony with the most spectacular views across the hills. The one thing I love about humanist ceremonies is you can personalise your ceremony however you wish. It was so lovely to hear Tegan & Conrad’s story, as well as a couple of lovely readings, which were beautifully read by their equally lovely pals - Lauren and Fazel. The ceremony ended in true Scottish style, with everyone (including me!) having a sip of Whiskey from the Quaich. A Scottish tradition I’m very much in favour of!

After a few snaps in the gorgeous surroundings, we headed down the road to the fabulous Grandtully Hotel for a couple of their signature cocktails. (It’s a times like this I wish I had a driver!) The day was topped off with what I’m sure was an epic feast of culinary delights, prepared by the amazingly talented Ballintaggart kitchen team.

Tegan & Conrad, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wonderful wedding celebrations, I had the best time!

Kirsty and Rodolpho

Kirsty & Rodolpho’s wedding bonanza at the fabulous Comrie Croft was a real feast for the senses! With Kirsty being an amazing artist and coming from a family of street performers, along with Rodolpho’s Brazilian charm and musical talents I knew I was in for a treat, and they certainly didn’t disappoint! The barn was full of wonderful homemade creations, with my personal favourites being the Frida Kahlo cocktail bar and an enormous puppet called Stella who made a guest appearance in the afternoon! After the most magical ceremony in the woods above the croft conducted by no other than Kirsty’s amazing Dad - Mike, everyone headed back down to the courtyard for cocktails, speeches and plenty of samba vibes! The day was topped off with lots of raucous ceilidh dancing and the most amazing sunset, not a bad way to spend a Monday I must say!

Hannah and Josh

My oh my what a day this was! Hannah & Josh’s wonderful wedding in the beautiful surroundings of the Cairngorms was an absolute blast from beginning to end!

From the early morning dip in the loch, right through to Hannah & Josh taking the stage to perform a few rabble rousing ceilidh numbers, the day had absolutely everything! It’s honestly far too hard to put the whole day into words, so I’m just going to let the pictures do the talking on this one! Enjoy!

Again, a MAHOOSIVE shout out to all the amazing suppliers, you really outdid yourselves here!
